Savory Turkey & Vegetable Ragu (Slow Cooker)

Makes 6 Servings

 

Ingredients

 

1 1/4 pounds ground turkey breast, crumbled
1 large carrot, shredded (about 1 cup)
1 small onion, finely chopped (about 3/4 cup)
One 28-ounce can crushed tomatoes with basil
One 6-ounce can tomato paste
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon salt
12 ounces spaghetti, cooked

 

Directions

 

Place the turkey, carrot, onion, crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, brown sugar, Italian seasoning, and salt in the slow cooker and stir to combine.  Cover and cook 5 to 6 hours on low.  When the meat is done, stir and serve over the spaghetti.
